Enhancing feedback and feed-forward for teaching and learning with Canvas

This project has trialled a new approach to supporting two aspects of feedback and feed-forward in university classrooms: firstly, the provision of timely formative feedback to students and secondly, feed-forward on student understandings to the lecturer to inform immediate course delivery and longer-term course design. The project was supported by an emerging text analysis tool, Quantext, designed specifically to explore short-form student writing that is being adapted for use in Canvas.
